BODY BUILDERS
An Intense Workout for Group Leaders and Teachers
Calendar
What makes a small group grow into a life-changing, powerful community?

While there are many factors, the most important is the leader.  Small group leaders must not only know how to lead discussion, but also how to draw out the best in people, shepherd the group, equip new leaders, ask excellent questions, lead with purpose and direction, and help people to truly learn and grow closer to Christ.

Body Builders is an interactive training course designed to equip and empower teachers, cell group leaders, Bible study leaders, discussion leaders...anyone who leads or facilitates meetings on a small group level.  The course builds upon many of the principles and tools of Bridge Builders, a pre-requisite course in relational skills.  Body Builders also helps participants sharpen their communication skills in large and small groups.

In this interactive, energizing, weekend course, participants will:
  • Gain skills in building a Christ-centered community
  • Learn how to create a safe, affirming environment
  • Gain skills in how to get maximum participation in a small group
  • Learn how to lead interesting and meaningful small groups
  • Experience three models for small group settings
  • Understand how to sequence a small group meeting for greater impact and learning
  • Learn a tool for great story telling
  • Build confidence in communicating in front of a group
  • Sharpen skills in communicating with focus and purpose.
"…the communication tips and the community building skills are treasures that will be used regularly."
    –Leslie W.

"I can use this information and new skills in just about every aspect of my life—work, church, and professional organizations."
    -Chris G.

"With all the practice, I feel so much more comfortable with the thought of leading a small group.  [The story telling tool] is great!  It breaks down a devotional or group situation into achievable, unthreatening parts for me…Also the questions suggested to ask people to get to know them and build community is priceless.  Thanks!"
    -Cheryle V.
